Today is the BIG day! I hope everyones day and night is filled with lots of tricks & treats and some good ol' frightful fun. My Halloween plans consist of handing out candy to all the trick or treaters along with all of my daughters friends coming over for hot apple cider and glazed donuts.

I am smitten over this card. I think it's classy and sophisticated with a charming color pallet. The gold sparkle of the snowflakes makes this card pop, giving it a WOW factor. Beautiful work Nerina! Thank you for playing with us at 2S4Y.

cards of the Week & our Fab 5!

The official countdown to Halloween has begun in our household.  Our mantel is dressed, the door is spooked up and the pumpkin patiently awaits carving.  My hubby and I have decided that this year we will dress up with the girls (feeling a bit of pressure from the other parents in our group) so now to find that perfect costume for me!  Eeeaak.  My youngest saw a huge furry duck costume in Target and suggested I be a giant Mommy Duck!!! mmmmm I am thinking that might be my backup plan ;)  but in the meantime you all will not need a back-up plan to get creative because we have a ton of inspiration in the gallery as well as some draw dropping cards to feature this week!

Thank you so much to Clear & Simple stamps for you wonderful sponsorship. We love your stamps and we know our readers will love them too.  Here are the winners for this week:

Card of the Week

Lindsay

I love the paper Lindsay used on this card.  The attention to detail and her interpretation of the sketch is fabulous - look at that decorative edge, and those cut out flowers.  I love the sentiment too and how the vintage theme is carried through from paper to embellishment.  Lindsay's blog, Note to Self,  is awesome too - if you love vintage inspired projects you are going to bookmark this one for sure!!

pop me an email Lindsay - I will get you in touch with the wonderful folks at Clear & Simple to redeem your prize :)

Fab 5!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday.  I have a few little chores to do and then some stamp time  :) Yay!  Tomorrow Laura is back with one of our fav sponsors and a sketch :)

Kazan's Sketch 64

Kazan used an image and sentiment from the Harvest set on her Card

We had a super exciting week last week.  After pouring over almost 200 entries in our Gallery we were finally able to narrow down the finalists to the final two new designers:

Mona Pendleton

and

Julie Lacy

We know you are all going to be super impressed with their interpretations of our upcoming sketches and we look forward to weeks of wonderful inspiration from them :) Welcome ladies we are so pleased to have you on board.

I know you may be a little confused seeing my name up here for the sketch two weeks in a row BUT Laura has the week off!  For the first time in 2S4Y history one of us is missing a week but for good reason.  You see Laura is moving into her new home this week (and for those of us that have moved we know how crazy it gets) but we wish her all the best with this new adventure and tons of happy (crafty) memories in her new abode and eagerly await her return next week  :)

This week we were all lucky enough to work with Clear and Simple stamps who are the sponsors for Card of the Week.  Here are the Designers interpretations of the sketch:

Angie

Angie used images and sentiments from the Beware set on her card

Courtney

Courtney used images and sentiments from the Holi-Dazzle set on her card

Stacey

Stacey used images and sentiment from Computer Love on her card

Bonus Sketches & Cards
This week we have two bonus sketches and cards for you.

Regina Mangum

Regina used images and sentiment from the O'Tree set on her card

Regina is one of those talented card makers who has a way of bringing flat 2D images to life! Her wonderful interpretations of sketches and challenges in general (think final 5 on Papar Craft Idols) make her a much sought after designer in this industry.  Her blog,  The Stampin' Bean is full of wonderful surprises and we know you will have fun with her wonderful sketch - Thanks sweet Regina :)

Rosemarie Diehl

Rosemarie used an image and sentiment from the Harvest set on her Card

Rosemarie is not only one of the sweetest people we know but her talent with all kinds of product is amazing.  We love her style and how she is able to rock a sketch like no other.  Rosemarie's blog, Rose's World is filled with tons of inspiration and a goodie or two to win, just sayin' :) Thanks so much for for such a gorgeous sketch Ms. Rosemarie
